Commenting Policy

Comments are welcome and very much encouraged, but much the way there is certain behavior I would not tolerate from visitors in my home, there is certain behavior I will not tolerate from visitors to this blog, my home on the net.

1. Try to be civil. Disagreeing with someone’s comment is fine. Calling them names or posting a profanity-laced diatribe against them isn’t something mature adults should be doing.
2. Please no spam. If you’ve written something related to the post you’re responding to, please feel free to leave a link directly to your related post but there’s no need to “sign” your comments with your name and blog address. You’re given a chance to put that in before you make your comment. If someone likes your comment and wants to read your blog they will click your name.
3. Please leave a name. Pseudonyms are great, you’re welcome to use them, but anonymous comments will be deleted. How can anyone respond if they have nothing to call you by?

Please also note that if your comment contains more than 3 links it will end up in my spam filter. If it’s a legit comment, I’ll approve it the next time I log in. You don’t need to try to post it again. If you feel you left a legit comment that you don’t see, just send me an email. It may have slipped by.

I reserve the right to delete comments but I generally don’t. I shouldn’t have to say it but the views expressed in a comment exclusively reflect those of the commenter and I’m not responsible for the content of the comments. Allowing a comment to stand does not indicate my agreement or approval of its content.
