Still Around 2

Sorry posting has been slow lately. It’s been an extraordinarily busy week at work. This is my desk right now:

Actively Using All 4 Monitors Means I’m Busy!

Hint: When I’m actively using all four monitors (and I am), it means I’m uber busy. Usually, at least one is just sitting there for the geeky factor.

  1. A clean desk is the sign of a sick mind, Dolphin!

  2. Don’t be fooled. I do very little work involving paper materials. My “desk top” maybe be clean but not so with my “desktop.”

If you happened to encounter any downtime here (or weird broken layouts) lately, I apologize, but hopefully you can now see what was going on.

As you can see I’ve put together a brand new theme for Halloween! Let me know what you think and if you encounter any problems. There are a few minor problems in IE6 (and one even smaller problem in IE7), that I’m aware of but nothing that anybody will likely notice unless they are deliberately putting the site through the torture test I did when testing everything out.

Hope you have a happy Halloween!

Anybody know what happened to Blog Explosion? I thought I might try and get back some readers with it, but when I switched the blog address in my old account over there, it got sent for administrator’s approval. That about a month ago and it’s still waiting…

IE6 Resolved 0

The IE6 problems have been resolved (I think).  Things don’t look exactly the same between IE6 and better browsers, but they look close enough that an IE6 user shouldn’t feel like anything is out of place or not working correctly.  There is still some minor bugginess in IE5.5 but since I’m not even sure when the last time I’ve received a hit from an IE5 browser is, I’m not gonna worry about it for now.  If you have any problems, let me know.

Attn: IE6 Users 2

It’s come to my attention that the front page of my blog breaks down terribly when viewed in IE6.  I’ll try to hack the crap out of my CSS this weekend for those who refuse to switch, but seriously folks, you ought to at least consider upgrading to IE7 or maybe even a real browser like Firefox.  Both are free and there’s virtually no learning curve to switch, plus you’ll be better able to view webpages the way they were intended to be viewed.

Dolphin’s Dock has been tested in and views properly in Firefox 2, IE7, Safari for Windows.  That’s all I have available to test it in, so if you have any problems when viewing in another browser let me know, thanks.

  1. You act as if we have a choice. Or shall I forward your email to the head of my firm’s global IT department. ;-)

  2. I suppose that’s true too, though if I was stuck in IE6, I probably would complain to my company’s IT department (and he’d say “well just download the damn thing” ;-), small companies are great like that).

Unless I miss my guess, you read from the RSS feed mostly, so you end up missing out on the design anyhow.
