Dolphin’s Dock

This is the newest member of the family, Sigyn. We never intended to get a third but The Boyfriend™ had to confiscate this stray kitten from his kids at school and we cound’t find anyone else to take her.

We get questions and comments on her name so I’ll explain it. If you’ve been with me a while at the old blog, you might remember a kitten named Loki, who we had gotten 2 years ago but had to make the difficult decision to find him a new home with a veterinarian after a birth defect emerged that would make him too costly for us to take care of. Well, Sigyn is the spitting image of Loki, except that she is a female. So when looking for a name I started my research. Loki, as you may be aware, is the Norse god of mischief (if you’ve ever owned a kitten, you’ll agree it’s a fitting name for any kitten). It didn’t take much googling to find out that Loki had a wife. Her name? Sigyn.
